Severn Trent - Improvements to water supply
An update to our work in West Penkridge
We recently got in touch to let you know about upcoming work to renew the water mains in West Penkridge.
Our team began work week commencing 17 November 2025. This was originally due to be under a road closure, however, following discussions with the local community this was amended to two-way traffic lights on Bradley Lane.
As the work has progressed the safety of our workforce has been compromised, and it has been necessary to put an HGV diversion in place. We would ask all road users to be mindful of the safety of our workforce when driving through the traffic light system.
From week commencing 1 December, we will be adding an additional section of road works, also under two-way lights, which will enable us to complete the works in a shorter duration.
Where and when we’ll be working
Following the completion of this phase, we will be continuing to carry out additional work in the area over the coming months – the provisional schedule of works for the opening phases can be seen below:
Please note that works will be paused and all road closures lifted during the festive period, between 19 December 2025 and 5 January 2026.

Will my water supply be affected?
If we need to interrupt your water supply, we’ll notify you in advance with a card showing the date and time window. This is usually hand-delivered 48 hours before the work begins. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum.
